New Look Sale: My Fave's and my Save's

The last few weeks we've had some really bad rainy weather in London, to say the least. Having the week off I decided to put a few items in my basket from the current New Look Sale. I tend to have a few favorites that I can't risk leaving them to be sold out so I purchase them on the spot and others I simply save them for a later time because I love them but I am not crazy about them or I don't want to go over my shopping budget for them just yet.

THE DRESSES

There were two dresses that were my absolute favourites both of which I purchased because I couldn't risk losing them One was a Tall Blue Button Front Pinafore Dress which will go really well with my white converses and a white vest it will be great to wear this to the beach with family, and the other was a White Floral Print Sleeveless Midi and I think this can be dressed up with some strappy white or black heels depending on the occasion. Floral patterns are always in for spring and summer and I am looking forward to wearing this dress to a wedding or a lunch date with one of my mates.

THE BOMBER JACKETS

I have always loved a bomber jacket, that was even before they became a trend once again. In fact, one of the first birthday gifts I purchased for my husband was a bomber jacket, I am going to be totally honest I love a plain bomber jacket the only compromise I will make is some white details on the collar, sleeves and bottom lining of the jacket that you can see in my current saves at the top. However, I have been recently loving these floral bomber jackets that I have been seeing around, my current save is a black floral one in the picture there were two others that had bright floral patterns that I really liked but they were sold out or didn't have my size.

THE TOPS & BLOUSES

All 4 were a near purchase and some of the tops were as low as £4.00. The items that are my saves are Blue Embroidered Panel Swing Vest, Floral Peplum Cami, Grey Bardot Top and my fave was a Tall Wide Sleeve Belted Wrap Top. These were all amazing tops the only reason for not purchasing is because I had a few similar tops really and some of the tops I wasn't sure whether it would be flattering on my body type based on the cut. I am still waiting for the delivery for some of the items I actually purchased if something doesn't fit right I will definitely exchange it for one or 2 of the items I have listed.

THE SHOES

I am going to admit I am so fussy when it comes to shoes, maybe that's why I tend to get quite a few compliments on my shoe collection because I simply won't buy a pair of shoes that I am not crazy about. All of these saves are literally my faves I plan to purchase them today as I put them in my basket just last night. I have saved a Tan Leather Plaited Gillette Sandal because they were absolutely cute, A pair of white woven cut out pointed heels  I must admit I am not a fan of white shoes due to the fact that realistically you can't wear them all the time because they are hard to keep clean and I can never find a pair that I like.It may come as a shock but I don't own a pair of white shoes, the only pair of white shoes I had is the one I wore on my wedding day and those babies are long gone LOL. What drew me to these shoes is the woven detail I think it gives the shoes some personality and it's quite simple so I can wear it with a maxi dress at a wedding or a midi dress that has white or pastel colors.Lastly, some black strappy heels, I have black strappy heels already but what drew my attention to this one is the detail on the end where your toes are and the detail at the back. These are not your ordinary pair of strappy heels and hence got my seal of approval.

 RANDOM PICKS

My last two favorites are a pair of Bleached Raw Hem Skinny Jeans and A Coral Wrap Front Collute Jumpsuit. I purchased the jeans I really loved the look of them and I don't have a pair of stone washed/bleached jeans  and I thought it would be a great addition to my closet. The Collute would have been purchased but  my size was sold out : ( . I was already imagining wearing that on the beach in Antigua, so heart-breaking. However if your size is still there I would definitely recommend purchasing it. Sometimes I wish everything could be in one size and we could not have to deal with shopping heartbreak #sighs, unfortunately, that's not the case so you have to get it before its gone.

I have linked all of the items so you can easily find them  just in case some of my saves and faves are some of your save and fave's too. With this sale, everything is going fast so if anything is sold out just pop me an email or leave a comment and I will try to see if  I can find you some alternatives. Also,I would love to know some of your faves and saves just leave a comment below.

Thank you for Reading my lovely's,

Trend Alert:The Pleated Skirt

The pleated skirt has always been a very elegant staple piece in the past. It's currently become popular once more with even more versatility.  I have begun to notice more dresses with a pleated skirt or a pleated skirt being worn with a crew or v-neck shirt for a more casual appeal. These seem to be  paired with some flats, trainers or pumps. Lately, I've become so fascinated with it as I browse through pin interest, high end and high street websites and  even some magazines.  I currently own a floor-length pleated skirt made with chiffon material in the colour orange and I love it,  I got it for quite a steal.
Despite having it for a few years now it's something that I have trouble parting with whenever I am decluttering my wardrobe .I have worn it to weddings with a white lace top and a blazer or casually with a black vest and some sandals to go out for a meal on a summers day.  Whatever the theme of the day a pleated skirt is something that can be paired with many types of shoes or tops.

Some of my favourite Pairings

I'll leave you with some  pieces I have liked from the high street.

Hello June you gotta be great!

It has been a very reflective bank holiday Monday since the dark cloudy weather here in London has caused me and my family to spend time indoors chilling with snacks and hot chocolates .As we enter the month of June I look forward to having more structure and being more goal oriented when it comes to work, blogging and even my personal life. So some of my goals for June are:

  •  Create a website for my business
  •  Create a Facebook page for my business
  •  Focus on the quality of my content rather than the Quantity.
  •  Post more regularly
  •  Design a plan to redecorate living room, hallway, and bedroom
  • Read more consistently
  • Workout more and stick to my workout days.

So now that I've mentioned my goals for June your probably saying" that seems like a lot". To be honest, it is going to be slightly challenging when juggling marriage life and being a mum, BUT I've got a plan and I hope these tips help you accomplish any goals that you have set out for the month of June also. So with said that said let's dive in....

GET A DIARY

If you're someone that lives by listing things you would probably add a whole bunch of notes in your phone so you won't forget anything.Honestly, if you look in my phone there are tons of notes going back years and it can be quite frustrating when you have to scroll all the way back for something you noted a while back. So I've decided to go back to basics and use a diary. In fact, I'll be using a few diary's and notebooks so that I can separate the different area's of my life and be a lot more organized.

MAKE A LIST

In terms of making a list, I usually start compiling a list on paper when I have a lot of task's and a lot of deadlines to reach and I don't want to lose track. But what I've realised from the last "work overload"is that listing should not only be for crunch time it should be a part of your every day especially if you have a very busy schedule. Writing a list in your diary for each day and ticking off  or highlighting what you've done not only helps you become more productive but you get an idea of how you are managing your time and how much you can handle in a day. In fact in the beginning of doing this over a week I realised I was listing so much task in one day that I would end up carrying over things to the next day all the time which made me feel like I wasn't being productive  and a bit deflated.Currently, I divide my task each day according to what I can handle and if I'm feeling really ambitious I start a few task for the next day. Making a list in my diary or notebook has also helped me feel like I am a bit more in control which reduces the feeling of being overwhelmed( panic mode lol).

                        USE A REMINDER/PLANNER

Once upon a time I use to depend on my not so dependable memory to remember appointments, meetings or even deadlines until I discovered planners. I absolutely love planners, the prettier the better. In fact, I have bought a few calendar planners that have been so cute I have had a hard time bringing myself to write on them, I know all of you can relate. Also, another great way to keep on top of all your appointments and meetings is to set a reminder on your phone. We've all been there when we thought that the doctor's appointment was on Wednesday and it was actuallyTuesday or we thought the staff meeting was at 2pm but it was actually at 12pm and we had to do the walk of shame arriving late or at the bitter end. I am still getting use to setting reminders on my phone but when I do it saves me the trouble planning my apology for something I missed or was late for so it's definitely something I will be practising more this month.

BE DETERMINED TO ACHIEVE SET GOALS

Be determined to achieve my goals, I'm realising that determination is a mindset that will impact on my actions. It's one thing to set out all my plans and strategies to achieve my goals in the month of June but if I don't take myself seriously or I slack off then I'll be back in July stating how nothing was accomplished and my goals are still the same. What I have also done to stay determined or motivated is to write post-it notes with quotes encouraging myself, positivity really does go a long way especially when you work on your own.

What are some of your goals for the month of June?

Leave a Comment Below I would love to know.
