April 2017 Favourites

April 2017 Favourites- Beauty Products

I have to say that April has been my favourite month of the year so far. When I wrote this post it was the middle of the month of May now where nearly at the end of May I just cant believe it. So April had a few items that I loved quite a lot and have become staples in my regimen and I just wanted to share them with you.

Gerrard Cosmetics Longwear Lipstick Cher

I absolutely love this colour and the gerrard lipsticks as a whole I found that I used this quite alot in April maybe because its such a lovely spring berry colour. I wrote a whole review on the Gerrard Cosmetics Liquid Lipsticks if you would like to read more about them in my Gerrard Cosmetics Liquid Lipsticks Review.

Nyx Matte Lip Cream in the Colour Rome

I think this liquid lipstick was in one of my other favourites I just love this colour and just the formula in general. I've been using this non stop in April and I think its nearly finish will probably get 2 bottles next time because I'm pretty obsessed.

Konjac Sponge - French Red Clay

This sponge is my first experience using a facial sponge and I've got to say that it wont be my last. I raved so much about this facial sponge in my review and just my experience using it you've got to check out my Konjac Sponge Review.

Sleek Blush by 3 Palette Santa Marina 087

I've been really rediscovering my sleek stash this last week. Despite all the colours are nice the colour in this that made it to my favourites is the Colour Coral Dune its that mauve brown pink colour. I have always loved flushed by sleek its the only blush I have used even when I was very simple with my makeup but this colour is AMAZING.Its found a permanent place in my makeup bag. It just gives your cheek a natural glow and I think it can be worn no matter what skin shade you are. The middle colour I use for my lids and the orange colour not sure what to use it for yet its slightly bright but summer is coming so who knows maybe it would make a nice colour in an eyeshadow look to dot just in the smaller corner of your lids. If you have any suggestions what I can use this colour for let me know in the comments.
I am pretty sure I'll be hitting pan on this baby before you know it!

Essence Extreme Mascara

When I purchased this I was so uneasy about it because the reviews on it were quite mixed and I have so many mascara's that I had to really decide do I want to risk my hard earned penny's on it. But I took the plunge and got it I'm a bit of a risk taker at heart. So with this mascara I liked it but I do understand why it has gotten some bad reviews, if you apply it more than once to your lashes repeatedly what you will get is some really bad "clumpage" but if you apply once or maybe twice your eyelashes would look like you are wearing fake ones.

The other downside I discovered because of the shape of the brush it puts quite a bit of product on your eyes and if you close your eyes right after applying it will go under your eyes and smudge so it stays quite wet to begin with.
So there's a way you have to use this mascara to avoid this but I love the length and volume it gives my lashes and since its only a little over £2 so I can overlook these things.

  2. Love the post! I think essence do amazing mascaras and for the price you can't go wrong. I get what you mean with the over layering it and clumsiness though!

  4. I love Gerard Cosmetics liquid lipsticks but I always forget I have mine! Although mine are kind of more autumn/winter shades so I won't be able to reach for them for awhile now anyway. I'm also loving the look of that sleek palette!
